P!D - Community Design Workshop

P!D is an nonprofit organisation of Participation In Design where designing with people and not for people. They have conducted a community design workshop to find insights on how to better use the community plaza in a way that will encourage a more active lifestyle among seniors. Moreover to understand the concerns and opportunities of the current community plaza from the seniors.

The workshop was held at Kampung Admiralty which is nearby to the mall and the MRT station.

In this workshop there are pop up space for the senior to engage with us and activity is held. Participants will share on how they felt and what they could suggest in this space, we prepare a big pinned up A0 board to be used with pictures, stickers and drawings.

Personally there are so many things we could learn from this event and workshop. It has built up confidence , engagement and real emotion and stories to be shared among the community. We don't just assume things but learn to hear their voices and design with the inhabitants.
